A kiss note?! Is that like the death note?

Guri seems like a troll-class angel. She's supposed to be an emissary of Cupid. Kinda reminds me of Gabriel from Gabriel DropOut. Supposed to be doing good, but not so much...

Synopsis

One day, a shinigami-like girl with a mysterious item that forces two people to kiss, Guri, appears before high-school boy Seiji Aino. When Guri closes in for a kiss, how will Seiji react...?

In these romance-parched modern times the saviour of troublesome love gallantly appears in this fast-paced romantic (?) comedy!

Three Episode Impression

Renai Boukun is such a great parody anime of Death Note. It basically makes fun of the Death Note obsession and turns it into a Kiss Note. Oh my gosh, it’s so great that Guri even utilizes the Kiss Note to make Boys Love happen in real life. Does Guri get #1 fujoshi of the year? Guri even creates this convoluted love web with a yuri imouto type, a yandere, and a poor sucker who gets caught up in it all. This may be my new favorite harem anime. I’m just waiting for them to include Seiji’s little sister to make it more complicated. My favorite has to be Akane, the yandere. It’s so deceiving. So lovely. So perfect. In the last episode, the Kiss Note was destroyed and yet, in the end, Guri ends up with a new Kiss Note and everything was put in order like nothing ever happened. I really dislike endings like these, especially when that’s how they end the series, but I hope that everything gets better. I predict it’ll have your typical harem ending, but hopefully the ride is worth it.

Characters & Voice Actors List

Seiji Aino

Voice Actor: Kensho Ono

A high school boy and protagonist of the story. Due to the powers of the Kiss Note, he ends up in a relationship with Guri and Akane. Thanks to the angels’ divine protection, he becomes unable to die even if stabbed.

Guri

Voice Actor: Yoshino Aoyama

An angel who appears before Seiji after mistakenly writing his name in the Kiss Note. When Seiji covers for her she takes an interest in him and writes her own name down at the same time as Seiji and Akane’s coupling. Although she’s doing Cupid’s work, she also likes to make boy-on-boy couples with the Kiss Note.

Akane Hiyama

Voice Actor: Manami Numakura

She really loves Seiji, but she’s also a yandere that often stabs girls that get close to Seiji as well as Seiji himself. Has superhuman reflexes.

Yuzu Kichougasaki

Voice Actor: Yukino Nagano

Although she’s Akane’s sister, she also has romantic feelings for her. She tries to steal the Kiss Note to tie her to Akane.

Shikimi Shiramine

Voice Actor: Yumi Hara

A master of disguise. Her natural hair colour is white, but she dyes it pink. She likes boiled sweets, but she has a habit of crunching them. She’s been enjoying every day since Akane’s weakness, Seiji, has shown up.
