Honey’s Highlights

honey's anime character
Don’t let the intro fool you, this is a pure sports anime! Nothing weird or BLish about it. This sports anime is about rubgy and is going to be interesting.

Oh Bee-kun you are so funny! This anime is going to be great. I wish it came out sooner! Who exactly is in this anime?
honey's anime character
Well we are definitely looking at Yoshimasa Hosoya playing Takuya Sekizan and Ryouta Oosaka as Mutsumi Hachiouji. Both seiyuu played roles in other major sports anime Like Haikyuu! And Kuroko no Basket.

honey's anime character
Ah! They have individually been in shows like Prince of Stride: Alternative and Prince of Tennis too!

Synopsis

Kenji Gion is very concerned about his height. On his first day of attending Kanagawa High School, nicknamed 'Jinko,' He meets the very tall Sumiaki Iwashimizu and a ball game. That ball game is… Rugby! This young, elliptical tale of an odd couple is about to be spun!

Three Episode Impression

All OUT!! Is all about rugby. And for once in Japan’s life, they have made a sports anime that is not only a great watch, but does not bore you to death with terminology and conflict that only exists in one person's head. All OUT!! is about Kenji who is short, has no idea about rugby, but wants to play. Sumiaki used to play, but due to a past trauma, has bowed out. Somehow they end up joining the team. Kenji carries on and on about wanting to play, but they make him do grueling exercises to train him better. It does work out as he is able to learn quickly. The main great point of All OUT, is that you learn about rugby with Kenji. You can see him learning about rugby as the show goes on, and you see the colorful teammates interacting. Most people do not know anything about rugby so this part is critical. It helps the viewer understand without drowning them in terminology. If the previous part was the main great point, then this is a close second. Kenji, as the main character, is not super OP doing all of the most amazing feats that members of the team cannot hope to accomplish as seen in almost every anime out there. It is refreshing almost to see him fail, and then pick himself back up again to push forward. Takuya, the captain, does not let Kenji do what he wants and only allows him to do what he thinks Kenji can do. If you are looking for another generic sports anime or another generic super OP story, this is not the anime for you. However if you are looking for something that is a good watch and really challenges what the sports genre can do in anime, All OUT!! is for you!
