What You Need to Know:
- On the morning of November 14, Kana Iwase, a 17-year old high school girl, was found dead inside an apartment in the Kitakoiwa district in Edogawa, Tokyo.
- Masahiro Aoki, the resident of the apartment, was arrested on the night after calling the police saying he had murdered a girl. According to the police, the 29-year old man strangled her to death and stole her bag and money, thus arrested the man under suspicion of robbery-murder.
- The suspect, who was apparently having financial troubles, claims to have murdered the girl after inviting her into the house to talk about their mutual hobby, anime. The two were former acquaintances, formerly working in the same convenience store.
