What You Need to Know:

  • Have you heard of Good Morning Call? The super-popular manga was serialised in Shuueisha's Ribbon magazine from 1997 to 2002, and was adapted into an OVA in 2001. The sequel, Good Morning Kiss, started serialisation in 2006 in Cookie magazine and is still going strong today.
  • Now, the first series will be quite literally brought back to life with a drama adaptation! The story follows Nao, a high school girl who is forced to live on her own by her parents. Or at least, she thought she'd be living on her own - but when she arrives at her new place, a guy has already moved in! What's more, he just so happens to be one of the most popular boys in school. How will their life together pan out from now?
  • The cast will include Haruka Fukuhara as Nao Yoshikawa, Shunya Shiraishi as Hisashi Uehara, Moe Arai as Marina Konno, Kentaro as Icchan, and Kouya Nagasawa as Jun Abe.
  • The drama will start airing in Japan on February 12, and will be available on Japanese streaming sites Fuji TV on Demand and Netflix. Check out the visuals and PV below!

Yeah, but the original manga is pretty old now. I hope the drama will bring something new to it!
