After the appearance of the Shinkai Seikan, humans lost command of the sea. The only ones who were capable of fighting against them were the Kanmusu, girls who embody the spirits of battle ships. The protagonist Fubuki has retreated to Chinjufu, the base where all the Kanmusu go to train, sortie and fight. Here, Fubuki is assigned to join the third torpedo attack team.

Fubuki

An energetic Kanmusu with a strong sense of justice. Sometimes she’s too serious, which makes her inflexible. The first ship of the special-design destroyer sisters.

Yuudachi

Voice Actor: Yumi Tanibe

The fourth ship of the Shiratsuyu-class destroyers. Seems to have tried her best in the Third Battle of the Solomons. Is for some reason really scared of the words, ‘Ironbottom Sound.’

Nagato

Voice Actor: Ayane Sakura

Born as the first battleship under the plans of the 8-8 fleet, Nagato is the nameship of the Nagato-class battleships. Until the Yamato-class went into service, she was also the flagship of the Combined Fleet. She used to be known as one of the Big 7.

Akagi

Voice Actor: Saki Fujita

Akagi is an aircraft carrier Kanmusu and the flagship of the First Air Fleet. Boasting a combination of ship-based aircraft including Mitsubishi A6M Zero, Aichi D3A, Nakajima B5N and others, she packs a strong punch, but is also a kind Kanmusu who is adored by her underclassmen.

Kisaragi

Voice Actor: Rina Hidaka

The second ship of the Mutsuki-class destroyers. Fought bravely whilst under attack from fighter planes on Wake Island.
