You could always watch similar series like Monster Musume no Iru Nichijou, GATE, and Zero no Tsukaima too! Each of them hold similar themes and elements to Konosuba.

Synopsis

(The 2nd season of Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Shukufuku wo!)

Hikikomori Kazuma Saitou loves video games more than life and one day his sad, short life ends in a traffic accident… Or at least it was supposed to. When he opens his eyes after the accident a goddess appears and introduces herself as Aqua. Then she says, 'I have something really interesting to offer to you. Would you be interested in going to another world in another dimension? You can bring one thing you like with you.' 'You’ll do,' he fires back almost immediately.

Now located in that other dimension, he is in a world just like an RPG! Now he gets to live just like his favorite characters and a hero awakens! He is overjoyed at what he is able to do, or at least he was supposed to! He wakes up in this new world and is already presented with problems. Food, water, shelter, and clothing all require him to work.
This is not what he asked for!

Not only that, but he is now followed by three other characters. Aqua is a trouble making, no-good goddess. Megumin is a moody, second-year syndrome magic user. Darkness is a female knight full of non-stop delusions. While fully capable, they are the only three people in their sad party. Kazuma's troubles are far from over! Not to mention too, one the same day that this all goes down, they have caught the attention of the Demon King's Army!?

Where will tomorrow take these travelers and Kazuma in this alternate dimension's world!?

Three Episode Impression

KO-NO-SU-BA! Okay, let’s put on the floor what everyone’s thinking and then move on. The animation has taken a hit, and yes it’s noticeable and yes it can be distracting at first. This is a show that blew everyone away its first season and so any detraction is of course met with displeasure. This is mainly because it feels like a slap in the face of everyone who’s supported the show. Now that it’s been said, let’s move on, as the animation isn’t actually bad, just downgraded. The writing and pacing are still comedic gold (maybe they gave the writers a bonus and the artists are not having any of it). Every single moment of the show brings about some absurd moment, by taking clichés to the extreme and diving straight into taboo territory. It might go a little far at some points, but that’s why people keep coming back. It’s different and it pushes boundaries rather than staying too formulaic. Another plus, is that the show is still willing to introduce new characters like Megumin’s rival Yunyun!

Characters & Voice Actors List

Kazuma

Voice Actor: Jun Fukushima

Kazuma was just a hikikomori who loved games but he was been transported to an alternate world. He is brought there by the goddess Aqua and then being to live together in this world. He had high hopes of starting over but they were dashed almost instantly when he found out he was a just a normal traveler in this town. He is classified as a low level adventurer.

Aqua

Voice Actor: Sora Amamiya

Aqua is the goddess who brought Kazuma to this alternate world. She also carelessly forces him to participate with her. He also has to subjugate the Demon King before she will let him go home. She is classified as a high level priest.

Megumin

Voice Actor: Rie Takahashi

Megumin is a genius red mage with a very high level of power. She looks like a small girl on the outside which contrasts with her high intelligence and ability. She can cast the highest levels of explosion magic. She is classified as a high level dark wizard.

Darkness

Voice Actor: Ai Kayano

Wrapped up in a full suit of Armor, Darkness is a female knight with a strong sense of Justice. If it’s a matter of saving her friends of her town, she will bravely volunteer herself for the job. She is very skilled at distracting others to get the job done. She is classified as a high level crusader. She has horrible accuracy in hitting foes when attacking.

Runa

Voice Actor: Sayuri Hara

Runa is the guild’s receptionist. She plays the role of a helpful older sister to those who come to visit the town of Accel by showing them the way.
