This season is taking a step in a new, good direction. You feel for the girls as they are struggling and we get to enjoy all 9 at the same time, rather than it just being about the core three girls at the beginning. The introduction for this season was really strong too with the feelings that it evokes that the girls are rising to meet a new challenge. We hope that they can manage to succeed and we are cheering them on!

Chika Takami

Voice Actor: Anju Inami

Chika Takami is a second year student at Uranohoshi Girls Academy and is the founding member of Aquors. She is the youngest of three girls in her family and her family runs an old fashioned Japanese-style inn. Chika is very sociable and rarely will give in easily. Armed with her bright and upbeat personality, she is able to draw other girls into the project!

Riko Sakurauchi

Voice Actor: Rikako Aida

Riko is a second year transfer student who is in the same class as Chika and recently moved from Akihabara in Tokyo to Numazu. A bit subdued and reserved, she prefers to stay indoors. Because she is so calm, many think that she is adult-like, but in reality she is easily confused and tends to jump to the wrong conclusions creating misunderstandings.

Kanan Matsuura

Voice Actor: Nanaka Suwa

Kanan is a third year student at the Academy. She lives on a nearby island with her grandfather who runs a diving shop. Adult-like and refreshing, she doesn’t sweat the small things. Because of her laidback nature, she has a cool air about her.

Dia Kurosawa

Voice Actor: Arisa Komiya

Dia a third year student as well at the Academy. She is the daughter of a famous family who used to hold a lot of power in the area and Dia currently serves as the president of the student council. She is a perfectionist so she will not forgive or allow any half-baked singing or attitudes.

You Wanatabe

Voice Actor: Shuka Saitou

You is a second year student at the Academy and Chika’s classmate. She excels at the high dive and is good enough to be on the national team. Her hobby is working out and she enjoys physical activity, so she is the type to move first and ask questions later. Her father is the captain of a ferry and You has plans to become one herself in the future.

Yoshiko Tsushima

Voice Actor: Aika Kobayashi

Yoshiko is a first year student at the academy. She dresses herself in little devil fashion and has nicknamed herself ‘The Fallen Angel Yohane (Jeanne).’ She is from the city of Numazu. Without showing any signs of timidity, she is intelligent and sensible, however she has terrible luck. In fact, wherever she goes, she runs into unexpected trouble and issues.

Hanamaru Kunikida

Voice Actor: Kanako Takatsuki

Hanamaru is a first year student at the Academy. She is the daughter of a temple that has been around for ages in the town. She loves reading and anything that has to do with Japanese Literature. Hanamaru is also good at singing and is part of the choir. She has a gentle personality that spreads to other around her but, while she appears to be doing a lot, she’s not really getting anything done.

Mari Ohara

Voice Actor: Aina Suzuki

Mari is a third year student at the Academy. Her father is Italian-American, so she is half American and half Japanese. Her father runs a chain of hotels. She has a bright personality and makes many decisions on her own. It doesn’t matter what happens because she will not get discouraged and she doesn’t fear the unknown.

Ruby Kurosawa

Voice Actor: Ai Furihata

Ruby is a first year student at the Academy. She is good friends with Hanamaru and they are always together. She is a bit of a crybaby and timid, but at her core, she is really a daughter from a well established family. Ruby has always wanted to be an idol. Ruby’s unique ability is sewing.
