Saki Uno is working hard day and night as part of her fledgling idol unit, Magical Twins, and she adores Mohiro Mikage, one of the members of super-popular idol group STAR☆RICE. She’d do anything for him - a feeling that ends up causing a miracle to happen! From today on, she’s a magical girl!

What to say about Mahou Shoujo Ore… this is like what Madoka Magica did earlier, but this is nothing dark at all. Rather, it’s very over the top and comedic. The mascot, the angry yazuka who is terrifying and foul-mouthed, is hilarious. More or less, the story is about him convincing the main character Saki to become a magical girl to protect her love, Mohiro. Saki does this because she has no way of fighting back otherwise against the monsters that are trying to take Mahiro away. Hilariously though, she turns into a buff dude when transforms and her weapons are so brutal that when she beats the foes, they are a blurred-out, bloody mess. Sayuko is her best friend, after screaming out the name of the person she loves, Saki, she too turns into a magical girl. Then we get a recap episode where the girls are going to debut as magical girl idols. Honestly, the series is funny and we will keep watching, but sadly, whatever hopes it had of being comedy of the season were dashed when we caught Hinamatsuri. Still though, this makes a fun series that earns chuckles.
