Soon after entering into into high school, First year student Shiki Koshiyama was invited to join the Quiz Research Club by an extremely suspicious upperclassmen, who is actually also the president of the club! Bringing along Mari, a classmate, Shiki is trying to figure out what the dazzling world of the Quiz Club is!

Nana Maru San Batsu, otherwise known in cringey English as Fastest Finger First, is a club anime based around the competitive sport (?!) of buzzer trivia. The MC, Shiki, finds himself drawn to this club and he gets a thrill out of hitting that buzzer first! Well, Nana Maru San Batsu has the potential to be more like a shounen anime like Bakuman, but falls short and is more reminiscent of Chihayafuru, a josei anime. Nana Maru San Batsu has some entertainment value and the female lead, Mari, is quite interesting in her own right. There seems to be something in Mari’s closet that we are supposed to want to find out. For now, this anime is an OK version of Chihayafuru, but we suppose only time can tell.
