Hmm, I heard the manga was ecchi but this looks more moe to me? I'm getting some serious yuri vibes from this though. Makes me think of Bakuon!! meets Yuru Yuri.

Synopsis

The reigning champion has fallen, and middle-school girls ping pong is facing an era of disturbance. Koyori Tsumujikaze, a new transfer student at Suzumegahara Middle School, is about to whip up a whole new storm!

Three Episode Impression

With all of the sports anime out with all male casts, we are given a refreshing new sports anime featuring an all female cast in Ping Pong girl! Similar in style to Prince of Tennis and Kuroko no Basuke, we are given an interesting main character, Koyori, who comes into the Ping Pong club and changes the dynamic of ping pong altogether. Koyori merely loves the game of ping pong and helps to remind the other girls what ping pong is all about: having fun! Ping Pong Girl is a sports anime that hasn’t been seen in awhile. It’s breaking into this genre of male-only sports anime!

Koyori Tsumujikaze

Voice Actor: Yumiri Hanamori

A second year student at Suzumegahara Public Middle School and member of the ping pong club. Transfer student. Placed fourth in the prefecture where she used to live.

Agari Kamiya

Voice Actor: Minami Tanaka

A second year student at Suzumegahara Public Middle School and ping pong club member. In the same class at Koyori. Known as one of the four heavenly kings of the drive strokes.

Hanabi Tenka

Voice Actor: Marika Kouno

A second year student at Suzumegahara Public Middle School, in the same class as Koyori and Agari. Helps out at Hokuto’s family ping pong store.

Hokuto Itsumo

Voice Actor: Yuuki Kuwahara

A second year student at Suzumegahara Public Middle School. Her family runs a ping pong store where Hokuto is a super employee, able to recommend the perfect paddle rubber to their customers. Her special skill is being able to tell the pattern of someone’s panties by the combination of their paddle and rubber.
