I know, it's so exciting! For those who haven't seen the first season yet, go watch it now! Especially if you like anime like Shoujo-tachi wa Kouya wo Mezasu, Sakurasou no Pet na Kanojo, and OreGairu!

I'm not such a big fan of ecchi harem anime, but I like the story of making games together!

What I personally love about this series is the parody-style comedy elements. It's great when an anime can laugh at itself. I'm looking forward to it!

Synopsis

(This is the second season of Saenai Heroine no Sodatekata)

Tomoya Aki is an otaku and a high school student who has a fateful meeting with a girl one day on a hilly road coated with fallen sakura petals. Stuck with inspiration due to this meeting, he decides to make a game for girls or ‘galge.’ He decides to enlist the ace of the art club Eriri Spencer Sawamura along with the top student in the school, Utaha Kasumigaoka as staff for his project and pushes forward.

He is shocked one day to find out that the girl whom he thinks that he was fated to meet, Megumi Katou, is just a normal girl in his class with no real standout qualities. He has already decided no matter what to make Megumi the heroine in his game…

Three Episode Impression

Tomoya Aki and his harem are back for more galge related circle activities, this time with new drama! Saenai Heroine no Sodatekata ♭ continues from its prequel such that the two series could run straight into each other and you might not notice. The first episode gives us a nice little look into Eriri and Utaha's past together, providing a solid recap of the character relationships and the group's current progress with their game, whilst also giving us some interesting new info on the two rivals. Very quickly, we move on into Utaha's next arc though, and by episode three we're knee deep in drama and the dense protagonist's inability to read between the lines. It's all good stuff though. The fan service remains excellent, with the beautiful thighs the series is known for remaining ever present. On top of that, the dialogue is top-notch, with Katou's ability to cut into any scene like a hot knife through butter being something we're overjoyed to hear again, as well as the ridiculous arguments between the girls being as amusing as ever. One thing season two has outperformed its predecessor on so far though, is the cinematography, which feels like A-1 Pictures have taken a pinch of inspiration from Shaft and have produced some really well put together scenes for these first few episodes. If you enjoyed the first season of SaeKano then the second season is so far everything you could want and more.
