Don’t Say It Out Loud!!

Nagareboshi

So this is the finale of Tsugumomo. At best, the anime has been an okay anime. Nothing amazing, but still a fun watch that most fans can enjoy. It is also great for those of us who just like some old-fashioned harem shows.

So the episode opens up with the last boss–more like not even a mini-boss–Sunao and Kazuya going at it. Kazuya is worried about breaking Kiriha for good so he is trying to find a way to go up against Sunao. She breaks out one of her strongest attacks, Winged Cutter, to try and make short work of Kazuya and Kiriha. But of course, Kazuya and Kiriha successfully manage divine possession aka Tsukumo-possession. Naturally, he has to win. And then he passes out after the fight.

He wakes up at home in his bed and unable to move due to all of the spiritual energy that he used. He tries to bring himself together, but to no avail, so Kukuri and Kiriha have to help him eat and more. Well of course it has to be a bath scene–it wouldn’t be the Tsugumomo that we are used to without it–where Kukuri is tasked with washing his dick. The best part is that Kiriha comes right out and says it which makes Kukuri scream, “don’t say it out loud!!” and then boom, yet again, Kazuya is getting his bell-end polished.

The ending was an ending that I am not going to pretend was amazing, but rather was something that I expected. Where it ended is where it should have. True, we do not know if there is going to be more to the series since Kazuya is missing some memories, but we will just have to see.

All in all, I enjoyed it!

Self Destruction

Jenangelx3

So far, Warau Salesman has been one of the best anime of this season what with its social commentary and realism depicted so well and comedically. This week’s moment is dedicated to Moguro and Ochiiri, who brought up such an interesting message about people. Ochiiri lives the perfect life with a lovely wife who takes care of him and great talent and work ethic. He seems to be the envy of all, but all is not as it seems. As Moguro describes it, Ochiiri has self destructive tendencies that have him going against what he is supposed to like attempting to throw his briefcase with important work documents into the river or going into the red light district to be led astray from his wife.
This was an interesting idea to include because it really speaks to so many of us, as many of the characters of Warau Salesman have. Despite all the good that may be present in our lives like a good job, relationship, or endless opportunities, many of us tend to sabotage ourselves and may even ruin these great aspects in life. Why? Because we like the drama, the thrill, or the excitement. I think it was a great comment about human nature itself.

You go, Warau Salesman!

The sweet beginning of Sagiri and Masamune

Rod Locksley

One of the best things of this week was getting to know some more about our favorite manga artists, Masamune and Sagiri. The two are a perfect pair, and it doesn’t matter if you look at them like brother and sister, as a couple in love, or as writer and illustrator. Yes, this is a tragic story because of what happened to their parents, but in this episode everything about the flashbacks seemed perfect, especially because this kind of thing is always better as manga, where the author has more freedom and a better pacing. Still, this is a great portrayal of the relationship between the 2 main characters, where even without knowing it, Masamune inspired her little sister to become a renowned artist, as they inspire each other now. Other thing to mention is how their parents, Sagiri’s mother and Masamune’s father, play an important role in the story… we all know that absent parents are very common in anime with a teen cast, but in Eromanga-sensei it is well justified and these flashbacks help a lot. All in all, this is a great comedy anime with well played ecchi scenes, but Sagiri and Masamune are not the typical characters lacking depth. Now I have the urge to read the source!
