One day, Mari happens to be in her friend Waka’s other brother Shun’s room. She stumbles across a book that once used to be in her father Eiji’s laboratory about magnets, electricity and their invention and discovery. From that open book, she is swallowed by a strange light that is emitted and time warps.

Wherever the Armillary compass points to, she time warps. Through her travels, she meets various scientists, and along with Waka and Shun, they chase after Eiji’s footsteps in hopes to discover his whereabouts. While they are searching for him, so is someone else. Entrepreneur, Jou Mikage is also in pursuit of Eiji.

Currently a drama is spinning around Eiji’s disappearance as part of a story on a vertical axis. While now in the past, Mari must now unroll the mysteries of science with the scientists as they discover and invent various historical items. This new horizontal axis of the past will begin to synchronize with the present, vertical axis.

Mari Hayase

Mari is a second year middle school student who is bright and friendly. She tries her hardest and is aggressive but sometimes she just happens to pull things out of thin air.

Waka Mizushiro

Waka is Mari’s best friend. She is a clever girl with many cute points. When she is in front of adults and people she does not know well, she is a very refined young lady. However, when she is in front of Mari, she actually wordvomits.

Shun Mizushiro

Shun is Waka’s older brother. Excelling at both literary and military arts, his wish is to enter the medical field. He’s a cool high school student who is calm and collected when it comes to leadership.

Eiji Hayase

Voice Actor: Toshiyuki Morikawa

Eiji is Mari’s father and a global scientist. He’s a militant who loves his family, but due to his excess curiosity he tends to get too involved in his research. He’s currently been missing for three years.

Akira Hayase

Voice Actor: Haruka Tomatsu

Akira is Mari’s mother and married to Eiji. She is a patissiere with a very open mind. She is well informed about almost everything. Searching for a new experience and adventure, she met Eiji and they both shared the same interests. They immediately hit it off and were married afterwards.
