Saint Beast: Kouin Jojishi Tenshi Tan tells the story of six appointed angels, known as Saint Beast, created by the powerful god, Zeus, to govern life on Earth. The angels of Saint Beast are Goh, Shin, Rey, Gai, Judas, and Luca. However, as the six angels of Saint Beast are tasked with responsibilities on Earth, Heaven is stirring with conflict, as Zeus exerts his powers in cruel and controlling ways. As some of the guardian angels start to disappear without a trace, the remaining Saint Beast investigate and attempt to rescue their comrades.

The background of Saint Beast: Kouin Jojishi Tenshi Tan revolves around the relationships of the six angels of Saint Beast. Saint Beast Goh is the mature and eldest one of the bunch, with outstanding leadership qualities and takes his role very seriously. Saint Beast Shin has the ability to manipulate time, but at the cost of his life source and energy. Saint Beast Rey has an affinity for birds since he has the gift of flight. Saint Beast Gai has a childish and playful demeanor, blessed with the ability to control the laws of nature. Saint Beast Judas, one of the fallen angels, has the talent to heal…with his lips. Lastly, Saint Beast Luca, another fallen angel, has the skill of mind-reading. Throughout the anime, the relationship and dynamic of all six angels complement each other in saving Earth and resolving the conflict in Heaven, thus posit as the Top 10 Angel Anime Boys.


9. Chihaya and Kagetsuya from Earthian

Earthian tells the tale of alien beings from another planet called Eden who have been watching over the inhabitants of Earth, the Earthians, for a very long time. With the benefits and downsides of Earthian evolution, Chihaya and Kagetsuya are presented with this challenge of preserving or eradicating Earth. 8. Lucifer from Saint Seiya Movie 4: Warriors of the Final Holy Battle

Kai Misonou is the younger of the twins. In their previous lives as Princes of the Winfield Kingdom, Shou tells Kai to forget his relationship with him. Later, when leaving the orphanage, Kai was adopted into a wealthy, prominent family. Consequently, in the present, Kai has no memory of his older brother. Moreover, Kai attends the same school as Shou, due to his excellent grades. When his best friend is killed, Kai is saved by his older twin and begins to regain memories of his past.

Shou Hamura is the elder twin. He attends Yuusei Academy for boys alongside his younger twin, Kai, on a sports scholarship. When rumored to find that his younger sibling was near, Shou went searching for Kai. Identical to Kai, Shou was also adopted into a wealthy family, but later his parents are killed. Both boys, Kai and Shou, possess white wings of the Winfield Kingdom and use magic as a weapon for fighting. With the appearance of strength and courage, Shou and Kai make the list for Top 10 Anime Angel Boys.


6. Samataro Kamiyama from God’s Family (Kamisama Kazoku)

God’s Family highlights the life of Samatarou Kamiyama, a high-school boy who is actually the son of a god and goddess. Alongside his siblings, these holy beings are sent to Earth to chronicle humanity, living as humans, in order to gain knowledge of the beings they protect and becoming greater gods and goddesses. Things appear normal to Samatarou until he meets a transfer student named Kumiko. Samatarou grows to like Kumiko and from there on out, life turns out to be different and difficult for him; Samatarou must make the decision to use or withstand from using his powers of making her have the same mutual feelings for him as he does for her.

Furthermore, in a familiar position, who has not wished for powers for someone to like them back in return?! Whether he dismisses his divine right or not, God’s Family is a story that features both the sacred and the silly.


5. Apollonius aka Apollo from Genesis of Aquarion (Sousei no Aquarion)

In Genesis of Aquarion, long ago, humanity confronts a troublesome foe, the Shadow Angels. The Shadow Angels have been harvesting human “plana”, an energy source for the angels. Combined with other humans, Apollonius was able to seal the Shadow Angels away successfully. Decades later, the Shadow Angels are freed and commence their attack on humanity. While devising methods to destroy the Shadow Angels, a special organization excavate weapons used in the past called vectors to be used once again in the battle between Shadow Angels and humankind.

The main character of Genesis of Aquarion is Apollo, a young man born from poverty, but destined for a greater purpose. After many lives have been taken throughout the war, Apollo enlists as an Aquarion pilot, flying the excavated vectors from the past. Rumored to be the reincarnation of Apollonius, Apollo takes the position in our Top 10 Anime Angel Boys because of his heroism and his fight to take the side of people despite what he was in his previous life.


4. Setsuna Mudo aka Alexiel from Angel Sanctuary OVA (Tenshi Kinryouku)

In Rage of Bahamut: Genesis, the inhabitants of Mistarcia are plagued with the terror of a ferocious dragon, Bahamut. While Bahamut was free, he caused much destruction and chaos. In this time, man mythological beings, e.g., gods, demons, humans, etc., guard this key, until one day a woman stole part of the key.

Michael the Archangel in Rage of Bahamut: Genesis plays a supporting yet powerful role in the anime. Even though he was one of the angels that took part in losing part of the key, he was a great factor in keeping female protagonist Amara from unlocking Bahamut’s seal. Historically, Michael is depicted as fierce and powerful. In this case, Michael from Rage of the Bahamut: Genesis makes the cut for Top 10 Anime Angel Boys.


2. Dark Mousy from D.N. Angel

D.N. Angel follows the adventure of a boy named Daisuke Niwa. From the beginning, Daisuke tells his crush, Risa that he likes her. Unfortunately, for him, she rejects him, leaving him heartbroken. Shortly after, Daisuke experiences physical changes that he is unable to explain. Later, he is told of a strange genetic condition where the males of the Niwa family inherit the spirit of Dark Mousy. Dark Mousy emerges when he thinks of his crush. As such, in order to suppress Dark Mousy and return to normal, Risa must send those same feelings back to Daisuke.
