[Thirsty Thursday] Top 5 Strike the Blood Ecchi Scenes

Introduction

On this manmade island not far from the Japanese mainland, therianthorpes, spirits, half-demons, manmade life forms, and vampires live in a relatively peaceful coexistence. The point of the island is to provide these supernatural persons a haven to prevent their extinction and participate in scientific research. The island district is made with that in mind using a combination of magic, metal, carbon fiber that resists magic and all the other occasional chaos that happens when you bring a multitude of magical creatures together in one place. Kojou Akatsuki lived a relatively normal life on the Island as an average human high school student until one day he was bitten by a vampire (and not just any vampire, the 4th progenitor, a very powerful vampire) who passed her power to him before dying.

The story is by nature a science fiction fantasy and importantly ecchi. The set up for story is in the introduction of Yukina Himeragi, a middle school girl and skilled spirit warrior, who is sent to spy on and observe Akatsuki. Our protagonist is of course shocked when he finds he’s being stalked by a middle school girl who knows a secret. She hasn’t told anyone, especially his little sister who has monster-related PTSD. You probably have an idea of what happens to the average school uniform under the strains of supernatural combat. (Hint: it tears a lot.) The fan service of short skirts in battle and a large cast of female characters in combination with the need for him to feel aroused in order to access some of his supernatural powers makes this one satisfying ecchi anime.

5. Episode 4

A scene doesn’t always have to have a flash of the panties or a lucky pervert moment to be ecchi. The dialogue alone can be ecchi. The risqué moment in this episode comes after the credits end. Akatsuki is sitting nervously in the school cafeteria waiting to meet Himeragi. When Himeragi shows, he asks her, “How did it go?” and her reply was simply “Negative.” He goes on to exclaim that he thanks god and he was sorry that it was bad enough that he had to hurt her. He was worried that she had become his blood servant due to the fact he had to drink her blood in order to gain the power he needed to get them out of a dangerous situation. She consoles him by explaining that she only lost a little blood and she was safe that day.

The fun in that scene comes from their friends overhearing the conversation. Asagi, one of his love interests, repeats what she just heard: “You hurt her, she bled, and she had to get checked and it was safe that day and the results were negative.” The assumptions laid out in that scene were plenty ecchi, and proves that it doesn’t have to be visual it for it to be ecchi.

4. Episode 21

Asagi is one of Akatsuki’s closest friends. She also held the position of his only love interest until Himeragi came on the scene. Asagi is a high school student who works part time for the Manmade Island Corporation as a computer engineer, though her programing abilities seem to rise far above that of the average programmer. The ecchi moment is simply a classic. Asagai’s just been nearly killed and is now covered with blood. Akatsuki offers her a shower and a change of clothes before she heads home. We get to watch the beautiful blonde Asagi slide off her pink bra and panties before stepping into the steaming shower. A shower scene is simple ecchi to begin with. This scene takes it a step further when something strange happens and another personality takes over her body. She exits the shower and steps into the living room and stands before Akatsuki, still completely naked. Yet she acts as if all is normal and begins to question him. We can understand his reaction as he exclaims, “Why are you naked?” before trying to avert his eyes.

3. Episode 19

A great and powerful witch is attempting to rewrite the world. Akatsuki has been knocked out of commission and needs help to recover. He also needs a way to counter the witch’s magic. Yuuma is the witch’s daughter and Akatsuki’s childhood friend, and knows a way to inoculate him. The problem is that with Akatsuki weakened from a previous battle he doesn’t have the strength to step up as a man do what needs to be done. Yuuma needs to give him a shot of adrenaline, so to speak, to awaken his vampire instincts and nothing gets those instincts going like some good old fashioned blouse-less grinding. A few moments of Yuuma’s half naked body writhing on top of his and his teeth are in her neck, he’s drinking her blood and being inoculated. The medicine from Yuuma’s bloodstream ingested, he needs blood to gain even more strength if he hopes to win. He turns his attentions to an embarrassed but willing Sayaka, a warrior friend of Himeragi’s, sitting nearby as she becomes the key to competing this threesomes’ method of powering up.

2. Episode 14

Sayaka is a war dancer for the Lion King Organization, and is currently assigned to protect Princess La Folia Rihavein as she visits the island. The problem in the episode comes about because the young princess can’t leave the island -- and not for a lack of trying. A problem with extra-dimensional pockets has left the two slipping into portals and appearing at random places around the island. The travel leaves them exhausted, so they decide to rest in a hotel room they had randomly warped to. Sayaka, a young lady the same age as Akatsuki, wakes in the double bed startled because despite going to bed fully clothed she is now naked. She asks the princess where her clothes went. La Folia, who is wrapped in nothing but a bed sheet, turns to her and tells Sayaka she was worried that the clothes would get wrinkled, so she took the liberty of undressing her as she slept. Sayaka, with an embarrassed look, replies with “I guess it doesn’t count since we’re both girls.” We already know Princess La Folia is rather daring and aggressive in her affections so we wonder, just why did she take Sayaka’s clothes off?

1. Episode 4

Dying can take a lot out of a guy, like lots of blood when you are nearly decapitated. Even if you are immortal the process of resurrection takes a lot of effort. The process of resurrection is especially taxing for Akatsuki as a virgin vampire, a vampire that has never tasted a human’s blood, but as far as we can tell he’s the other kind of virgin as well. His impulses take control of him for a brief moment and he pins Himeragi to the ground as he comes to. His eyes go red and he bares his fangs before her shouting and struggling brings him to his senses. Akatsuki apologizes and explains his dilemma. Himeragi understands he needs to be at full strength to stop the plan to sink the manmade island, so she unbuttons the collar of her uniform and makes a small slice in her neck. He closes in on her quickly, his tongue first licking the blood dripping down her neck before sinking in his teeth and sucking life-giving fluid from her neck. The act elicits the softest moans of pain and pleasure from Himeragi, making it our number one ecchi scene because we always remember our first.

Final Thoughts

The action is non-stop in this ecchi adventure and at times we feel sorry for Akatsuki and all complications that surround him. Akatsuki may be the most powerful vampire in the world, but he understands the real-world limitations of his power especially where the women in his life are concerned. He is constantly putting them first in his life and doing everything he can to protect them even though many of them are more than capable of taking care of themselves. The girls that surround him are a big reason to be jealous of him, too. They’re cute of course, but they’re strong too and don’t need to have their hands held or be rescued every episode -- an extremely attractive quality. Oh, one more thing to be jealous about: the curse of immortality. He gets to live forever and look hot forever, attracting hotties to his side; who wouldn’t want that?
