Is this connected to Garo: Honoo no Kokuin (GARO: THE ANIMATION)? Do I need to watch that before this?!?
Garo-VANISHING-LINE-300x424 Garo: VANISHING LINE - Fall 2017 & Winter 2018
Yes and no. The series is part of the GARO franchise, but the previous two seasons are not connected other than in name and you do not need to watch them to enjoy Vanishing Line. In fact, this one looks as if it holds the most promise out of all of the series thus far.

That was oddly deep of you Bee-kun.

The characters are out searching for people and events so maybe this will end up being comparable to Durarara!!, Darker Than Black or Devil May Cry. Expect lots of action. Plus the art looks amazing!

Synopsis

Russel City is a city that's highly developed. There, in the city that sings of its prosperity, a massive plot has begun to move that is going to shock the world. Sword, a man who first inferred the beginning movements, throws himself into a fight that no one knows about in order to expose the plot. However, the only clue he has managed to uncover is a single keyword: “El Dorado”.

In the middle of this fight, Sword meets a young girl named Sophie. Sophie is also searching for the meaning of a last message that her older brother left for her before he disappeared: “El Dorado”. Sophie has lost her brother, and Sword lost his little sister in the past. The two who have been pulled together by the word “El Dorado”, feel a bond between them and begin to cooperate and work together. Thus, the trip that will force their memories to intersect has begun.

Three Episode Impression

Sword is a massive brute of a man who is on the hunt to expose a conspiracy within Russel City, the city that he lives in. A loveable bloke, he has but one clue “El Dorado”. One day, he happens to meet a young girl named Sophie who is looking for her brother. She has the same clue “El Dorado” left behind by her brother before he disappeared mysteriously. Evil will not rest, as weird creatures are starting to assault the citizens as well. Sword has his work cut out for him.

After Guren no Tsuki, anyone would be scared to watch anything that has the title “Garo” attached to it. However, Vanishing Line is actually, really good. The characters are fun, the transformations are cool, Sword is a pervert leading to jokes, and the action and semi-horror effects are well done. The Garo franchise has come back swinging after what happened with the previous season and it’s fantastic. Stick around with us as we try to find out where El Dorado will lead our characters.
